Colin was best man at our wedding nearly 50 years ago, and how he got so much confetti into our suitcase is still a mystery, and for several years we were part of a group of young people in Folkestone with a shared desire to live life to the full.

Colin took risks. The first was in driving. He and I would race to Ashford on workdays far too fast, and the second was in boat trip to Italy.

We volunteered our services as crew to get a new 45ft motor boat from Yarmouth to Trieste. Needless to say, storms and other mishaps meant we were unable to complete the voyage. The journey was fun but getting lost in the Atlantic and a Force 9 storm off Belle Isle could easily have ended our lives there and then.

We are both sure that, you like us, will have many fond memories of your Dad.
